Important Update on Summer Vacations in Jammu and Kashmir 2025
Srinagar, May 29: As temperatures rise and social media buzzes with talk of early summer vacations, the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), G. N. Itoo, has put all speculation to rest. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, he confirmed that there are currently no plans to announce an early summer break for schools in the Kashmir division.
“The weather has remained quite pleasant over the past few days,” Itoo said. “That’s why we’ve only adjusted school timings, not planned for early holidays.” He said that the department is closely monitoring the situation. “Any decision on vacations will be taken only after a detailed review of the weather conditions,” he added.
However, weather reports suggest that Kashmir may experience a fresh spell of rain and thunderstorms over the coming days. The Meteorological Department in Srinagar has issued a weather advisory for the region, highlighting the possibility of heavy rainfall and gusty winds.
